- Originally from New York, NY; now finds herself across the pond in Firenze. Artistic process is driven by the lush complexity of people and seeks to expose more absurd truths by ruffling those intricate (and often neatly tucked) folds. Previous works include commissions by Aaron Davis Hall, Mulberry Street Theater with the Jerome Foundation, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and Women in Motion: Blueprint (Estrogenius Festival NYC). Works also presented at Danspace Project/St. Mark’s Church, Joe’s Pub (DanceNOW[NYC]), Dixon Place, Jacob’s Pillow, LaMama, WAX and others. Performed internationally with Doug Elkins, Clare Byrne and Umoja Dance, teaching workshops and master classes at universities and public schools. Worked with artists Eun Me Ahn, Kevin Wynn, Yin Mei, Katie Workum, Will Rawls (dancegang) and others; filmmakers Clarissa de los Reyes, So Young Yang and Kriota Willberg and was artist-in-residence at The Dragon’s Egg and Earthdance. Attended FH Laguardia HS of Music & Art and the Performing Arts and New York University/ Tisch School of the Arts, honored with the JS Seidman Award. Estacio is also an AADP certified Holistic Health Practitioner.

I love this. Each subtle movement can seem random but at the same time makes perfect sense... as if the unbounded creative impulse is almost predictable in its expression... Perhaps rather than predictable it's more an inner recognition of the free flow...through watching that stream of consciousness in action my inner authentic self may be perceiving something of its own nature that it rarely if ever sees in the world, or in my own actions/thoughts restricted by ego/fear: a truly free individual.
And that's a wonderful thing, especially when manifested through a woman as gorgeous & talented as you. Thanks for the beauty and inspiration Sharon.
